How do I install LockDown Browser?

Using LockDown Browser requires that your district install Respondus LockDown Browser (Connect OEM version) to your student devices. Once LockDown Browser has been installed, please contact Mastery Connect Support to enable the LockDown Browser feature in your account. 

Install Respondus LockDown Browser (Mastery Connect OEM Version) on Student Devices

Please download the correct installer for each device:

For districts already using LockDown Browser on Mac and PC with other apps, please note that you will also need to install the Mastery Connect OEM version. Both editions can be installed side by side without any conflicts. iPad users can continue to use LockDown Browser if it has already been installed for another application. The auto-launch technique will work regardless of whether another institution has been selected.

Enable LockDown Browser for Assessments

Activate LockDown Browser

The LockDown Browser tool can be used for benchmark assessments and Enhanced Accommodation (EA) formative assessments. LockDown Browser cannot be used for uploaded assessments or non-EA formative assessments. 

You can activate LockDown Browser for an assessment by selecting the Require Lockdown Browser checkbox on the benchmark delivery page.

You can activate LockDown Browser for a tracker by selecting the Require Lockdown Browser checkbox in Tools and Accommodations.

After LockDown Browser has been enabled for an assessment, students can access the LockDown Browser tool through, the student portal, or through an LTI connection.
